CONNECTIONS

SPRUCE UP THE FACILITY: There are several projects. See the provided list and let us know if you can help.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY: If you are intereseted in Financial Peace classes, see Marlyn Finley as soon as possible.

KID’S CHURCH: Starting in September, we will have a Kid’s Church at the same time as our Worship Service. KidStuf will still follow at 11AM. We have five adults willing to help once a month with Kid’s Church. We really need three more. At this time, we can not staff the nursery and Kid’s Church, and since we have a lot more kids in the age range for Kid’s Church, we won’t have nursery until we are able to staff it with new volunteers.

HAITI MISSION TRIP: The first work team will start building the school in Marfranc, the Haitian village that has become the center of our focus-area September 23-October 1. The second team will work November 11-19. Team members will meet in Miami that Sunday evening, then fly into Haiti on Monday (and back home on the following Monday). You need a passport, which can a couple of months to get, and you need some vaccinations. Application can be made online at www.newlifeforhaiti.org.

ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING: Sunday, September 9th @ 5PM, we will gather for our annual congregational meeting. Pastor Brian will lay out the vision for the next year and a vote will be taken on refinancing the facility. Our three year loan is due, but we have good opportunities to refinance.
