The Summer of Love!!

Goal: For every person in the church to have dinner in Pastor Brian’s home.
Goal: For every person in the church to attend at least one event in a leader’s home.
Goal: For every person in the church to begin to align themselves with the Holy Spirit.

CONNECTIONS

BAPTISM: If you are interested in baptism, please talk with Pastor Brian. The baptism will take place at Sullivan Beach at 4PM on Sunday, August 19th. A carry-in dinner at the Sullivan Beach pavilion will follow. We would like everyone to come and witness this landmark event.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES: If your Middle School student needs school supplies, you can get them free at the Salvation Army. No questions will be asked about income level if you tell them The Crossover sent you.

MEET OUR MISSIONARIES TO HAITI: On Monday, August 20th @ 6:30PM, Steve and Jolene Moore will be in Mattoon at The Crossover. Steve and Jolene have been missionaries in Haiti for over ten years, and now work for New Life for Haiti, our organization. They will be hosting our trips and coordinating our work effort. They are a gracious and interesting couple. Please mark your calendars and come meet them.

DINNER @ BRIAN AND DANELLE’S HOUSE: If you haven’t signed up yet, sign up for dinner at the Millers for Saturday, August 25 (Pork Chops).

HAITI MISSION TRIP: The first work team will start building the school in Marfranc, the Haitian village that has become the center of our focus-area September 23-October 1. The second team will work November 11-19. Team members will meet in Miami that Sunday evening, then fly into Haiti on Monday (and back home on the following Monday). You need a passport, which can a couple of months to get, and you need some vaccinations. Application can be made online at www.newlifeforhaiti.org.
