Building Bridges to God and Helping People Across
I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. -- Jesus of Nazareth (John 5:24)
Valentines Day
We have been buried in snow and ice, and school was canceled today. So we canceled youth group. The plan had been to take the youth group to an area nursing home and pass out carnations. A few of us planned on going over and giving the residents the flowers, maybe even let the staff pass them out, but a few more youth called and twelve of us went over. It was wonderful watching the resident's eyes light up as we gave them each a flower. The youth take this event pretty seriously and know that they are serving in an important way. The ice and snow did not stop God's love tonight!
