– In late June, we will join a few other churches, including First Assembly of God and Salisbury, in making an impact on our community over one weekend. We are looking at doing some car care at West Park Plaza and East Rudy. Some house clean-up as per the city's nuisance overseer, some grocery bag packing, some windshield cleaning at service stations, Aluminum can collection, and a blood drive likely the Sunday before. If you would be interested in helping to plan some of these events, please let Pastor Brian know.

Upcoming Haiti Trips:
Trips can handle up to eight people. March and May are full. July 14-21 trip has 4 open spots. We are planning on scheduling a “Crossover” trip in the fall. If you are interested, let Pastor Brian or Michelle Donnell know.

The Difference a Father Makes
The speaker is Ed Tandy McGlasson, author of the book The Difference a Father Makes. Ed is a former NFL player and is pastor of the Stadium Vineyard Church in Anaheim, CA.

Ed will not only speak on Friday night and Saturday morning for our conference, but there will be an additional service on Sunday afternoon for fathers and children, and mentors and their kids. This is a very unique weekend. Make plans to attend and please seek God on who you should invite. Put a special emphasis on young men (any men actually) who have not had the advantage of Godly fathering. All men need to hear this message.

TLC Teacher Lunch (Rescheduled) – We would like to collect some cash to buy lunch for the teachers at Humboldt TLC on February 15. Please see Randy Myers to make a donation or to help.

Upcoming Haiti Trips: Trips can handle up to eight people.
March 11-18 trip currently has 3 open spots.
May 26-June 2 trip has 6 open spots.
July 14-21 trip has 4 open spots.

Expansion of Wednesday Night Youth Group – Starts in February.
It is being considered to expand our younger youth group (4th-7th grade) into two youth groups (K-3rd) and (4th-7th). We have a willing teacher but we need two more helpers. These are really great groups and it would be a blessing to you to participate.

Free Home Repair: Next summer, June 22-28, 2008, a Christian youth workcamp is coming to Mattoon and will repair homes at no cost to the owner. If you own your own home or know someone who does and need repairs, please fill out an application on the back table.

Help Needed at PADs (Homeless Shelter) – With the weather getting colder, it would be nice to leave our doors open past 8 am. In order to do this we will need some volunteer workers to work from 8 to 10 am on really cold mornings. Please call 234-7237.
