Tough Question Sunday!!!

Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. – 1 Timothy 3:16

CALENDAR
TONIGHT (Sun) – 6PM – Help us decorate Kid’s Church for the month of May
June 1 (Mon) – 7PM - Wingman Men’s Ministry
June 3 (Wed) – 6:30PM – ROCK & RIOT Youth Groups
June 6 (Sat) – 9AM – Church building work day
June 7 (Sun) – 11:30AM – Carry-in Lunch. We’ll provide the meat, drinks, and tableware.
June 21 (Sun) – Collecting spare change the Needs Team!
June 27-28 (Sat-Sun) – CORE Weekend – Community Service Projects all weekend!

Home Groups will be taking the summer off. We hope to gather to do all kinds of large and small fun gatherings. You can make this happen simply by buying some chips and pop and inviting some people over to your house. Groups will start back up in September.

CORE Registration – We need you to sign up to do service projects on June 27&28. There are all kinds of projects at different times. You can sign up for one or more. Ask Maria if you have any questions.

We’re Grilling – On Sunday June 7th at our Carry-in lunch, we’re grilling burgers and dogs. We’ll supply the meat, but we need some of you to supply the grills that morning. Let Pastor Brian or Bill or Jo Tomlin know if you can bring one.

Offering – We don’t “pass a plate” at The Crossover, but we do take an offering in the box by the door. All of our ministries are financed from this one source. We would appreciate your help.

Youth Groups – The K-6th grade youth group will be taking the summer off. The 7th-12th grade youth group plans to meet through June.

If you have a tough question about the Bible or life in general, write it on a card and place it in the Offering Box or give it to Brian. This is a great Sunday to invite your friends and even encourage them to ask tough questions.

Real World Parents Seminar: Lance Finley is speaking at East Harrison Street Church of God in Charleston on Sat May 30, 1-4PM. Cost is Free. Real World Parents offers hope to families and energizes the family to become ambassadors for Christ in their church and community. Real World Parents starts with where your family is at rather than where someone else has been. Real World Parents cultivates the faith of children without them rolling their eyes at corny ideas that never work.

Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build – Join us May 30th, as we frame up a house for the Tryon family at 11th and Vine in Charleston.

Haiti Trip Fund Raiser – On Friday, May 15, 6:30PM, Randy Myers will host a Texas Holdem’ Poker tournament at his house. A donation of $10-$20 per person is appreciated to play. As per the rules of gambling, you will lose all your money and the winner will only get the privilege of gloating and a traveling trophy. We will host two or three more tournaments before the Haiti trip in July.

Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build – We have an incredible opportunity to help build a home for a deserving family in Charleston. On May 16th, you can volunteer to help build. No skills are required. See Eric Boerngen for more information.
