Funeral Dinner
On March 21, we hosted the funeral of Vicky Gullion. When she passed, the family asked me if they could have the funeral at our church. Of course, I said yes. But as I thought about it, I was volunteering more than me for a weekday afternoon. The family expected around 50 for the funeral. Over 125 showed up! Volunteers from our church kept putting out chairs until every chair we had was out. Every base was covered. Our volunteers served a nice meal to the family afterward.
As I looked around the church, I was so impressed by our church, pouring themselves out for a family in grief. No complaints. Above and beyond the call of duty. I love this church.
